After installing SaffireControl and the Saffire drivers on the PC, you will see a dialogue with the option to install the Saffire VST plugins. At this point you have the option to authorise the VST plugins to run natively on your PC. If you simply want to
use the Saffire hardware including the onboard DSP processing, then you
can quit the authoriser and begin using Saffire. If you want to run the
host powered VST plugins on your PC, then proceed with
the PACE plugin authoriser.
If you are connected to the internet on the PC you are authorising, then authorisation can be done online. Select
'Internet Activation', and click Next. You will be directed to a web
page where you must enter the following information:
- Full name
- Saffire Serial Number (printed on the bottom of the Saffire unit)
- Saffire Registration Code (printed on the sleeve of the Saffire Resources CD)
- Your Country
you have entered this information, press 'Submit'. You should now see a
page announcing the success of your plugin authorisation.
Congratulations! Have fun!
If you are not connected to the internet on the computer you want to authorise, you must select the
Manual Authorisation method.
If you have previously authorised your plugins on 4 other computers, you will not be allowed to authorise
the plugins again, as only 4 authorisations are allowed per Saffire user. If
you run out of authorisations, please contact Focusrite Tech Support for assistance.
